Matthew has worked with numerous organizations, agencies, and foundations to lead the editorial, design, and production of reports.

Three Cities Within Toronto is a 3-part series of reports that documents 30 years of gentrification in the city, produced for Prof. David Hulchanski and the University of Toronto. Matthew art directed and designed each of the reports in partnership with Julie Fish.

The Toronto Walking Strategy is a policy report developed the City of Toronto’s transportation department and the Pedestrian Committee, a citizen-appointed advisory group. Matthew designed the report and led the editorial visioning of the report. This report won the FCM excellence & innovation (transportation) in 2011.

The Chief Planner Roundtable was a series of four events and discussions convened by the City of Toronto’s chief planner, Jennifer Keesmaat. After each event the findings were gathered into a report, a collaboration between Matthew and City planning directors. Matthew edited, designed, and packaged the four-part report series.

Regent Park is a story-telling report, authored by journalist John Lorinc and commissioned by the Metcalf Foundation, documenting the impact of the redevelopment of Regent Park. Matthew designed and photographed the report.

Canadian Journalists for Free Expression is an advocacy group that works to support journalists who face the oppression of their reporting. For years, Matthew worked with the organization on a variety of communication materials, including annual reports, event posters, and infographic packages.
